What are Communities?

An Euskampus Knowledge Community is a participatory space driven by a broad interdisciplinary group of researchers and teaching staff from the trustees and is open to the involvement of researchers from other institutions and other types of players, as well as to the active participation of students, in a field of knowledge that is a priority for the trustees and which contributes to their joint positioning in and impact on the region and internationally.

Euskampus Knowledge Communities are created with the purpose of:

  • Promoting scientific excellence: maintaining positioning and further strengthening it.
  • Directing this excellence towards social challenges and specialisation of the territory.
  • Consolidating and diversifying the educational and training offer.
